Safe Maintenance of Attractions
"Maintaining Safe Attractions" is designed as a refresher
course to ensure that your maintenance staff are kept up-todate
and provided with information to enable them to operate
safely and to best practice. The courses are designed for new
and existing maintenance staff and supervisors and cover
both mechanical and electrical equipment.
Courses have been carried out at:
- Gullivers
- Flamingoland
- Pleasure Island
- Thorpe Park
- Chessington World of Adventures
- Alton Towers
Feedback on the course has been excellent, with 95% of
course participants rating the course as good or above and
over 99% rating the content as either relevant or very
relevant to their work.
“We were very pleased with the course, the trainers
were first class and very well informed on the issues
facing our engineers. Even our more experienced engineers
found it worthwhile. We have now booked a
course for our sister park.” (P Pritchard, Flamingo Land, BALPPA
Newsflash March 2007.)
Further courses are planned at Lightwater Valley, Adventure
Island, Great Yarmouth, Oakwood Park and Paulton’s Park.
For further information on this course, please contact HSEC.
“I thought that it was a really good course and that
both mechanical and electrical staff gained a real advantage
from it. The interactive parts really helped understanding
and the continual emphasis on reporting
was very useful.” (Tony Wright, Mechanical Maintenance Manager, Alton
Towers)
