Work undertaken for the Jubilee Line Extension
Project on behalf of Tarmac and LUL included the
following:
- Full risk assessments for works trains
Construction Railway. This risk assessment was
undertaken to comply with the terms of the
Transport and Works Act 1992.
- Complete development of procedures and safe
methods of work for Construction Railway,
including the production of a bespoke rulebook
incorporating all appropriate aspects of
underground, mainline and construction site
working into one single volume.
- Development of bespoke track access safety
courses and operating the JLEP Training School
over the duration of the extension project.
During this time HSEC staff delivered training
courses to 4,000 staff of various levels of
seniority within the project.
- Undertaking a review of the specifications
for diesel emissions of works trains and
locomotives, ensuring a safe working environment
for construction site staff.
