A major multinational food processing company
have a policy of designing their own
manufacturing lines, purchasing components and
designing the equipment interfaces. The policy
has been to assume the responsibilities of the
supplier under the Supply of Machinery (Safety)
Regulations 1994.
HSEC undertake a comprehensive review of the
machinery designs, carry out a conformity
assessment to ensure the equipment meets the
Essential Health and Safety Requirements set
down in the Regulations and prepare the
necessary documentation required for inclusion
within the Technical Files.
The service also includes an over inspection of
the complete plant and the information for use
developed by the Client. With HSEC's specialist
knowledge of the Regulations and the
requirements of the Standards, which support the
European Machinery Directive, clients benefit
from an independent third party assessment of
the machinery.
